Overview

Meet and park on the Ashcombe Park layby on A520.

An anticlockwise route in the parish of Cheddleton passing through Basford Bridge, Cheddleton village and the Crown Point reservoir viewpoint and Shaffalong.

Village lanes, moorland and pasture footpaths. Occasional awkward stiles, walking poles will be helpful. There are two short ascents. An easy route for regular walkers.

Care will be needed crossing roads.
