A second attempt at this walk that was truncated in March due to mud, initial rain and an angina episode and a breakaway group who retired to Sweetapples, the local coffee shop. Cotswolds National Landscape has worked with local communities to create ten Cotswold Gateway locations, from which people can follow walking routes to explore the surrounding countryside. This walk to the south of Marshfield is adapted from a walk on their website and, to quote their blurb: ‘Enjoy initial views across to Cold Ashton, St. Catherine’s Valley and Charmy Down, then take in wonderful views of Claverton Down, Limpley Stoke Valley and the distant Mendip Hills’. We might also glimpse the local wallaby! Bring snack.
Please note: the Finish Time is an estimate and may vary.
