We walk left from the Northcroft Leisure Centre car park through a private road to the beginning of the Speen Moor Walk. We will follow the path for a while before turning off right into a field leading to St Mary’s Church, Speen.
We then rejoin the path running parallel to woodland and walk through the woods and then to open moors and fields leading eventually to the Kennet Canal. We walk along the canal to town and follow the alternative path back to the car park passing the Northcroft park on the right.
There are no hazards or obstacles on this walk but some of the paths are uneven and rocky, so wear good walking shoes or boots.
Please click on the website link to book your place on the walk. Numbers limited to 12.
If walkers are interesting in having a drink and food before heading back there are many options including for example - The Lock, Stock & Barrel and Cafe Rouge, which are next to the canal.
