Overview

A circular walk from Stanmer Park Gates, through Stanmer Park, and walking north to the South Downs ridge.  Then west to Ditchling Beacon for a picnic lunch stop, before descending through Stanmer Woods, returning to our start point. Tea/pee break at Stanmer Village.

Accessible by bus - catch the #25 bus from Old Steine (stop F) at 09:59 which arrives at Stanmer Park Gates at 10:17.  Paid parking also available.

The walk will start by the cafe in the car park by the entrance gates just around the corner from the bus stop.

If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site.  This will give the walk leader a rough idea of how many people may be attending.  If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.

We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers.
