Celebrate the start of another MWW walking year as we once again retrace the route of our first ever walk.
Please note that we will be on high and very exposed moorland for the main part of the walk, on rough and wet paths, so be prepared for winter weather.
No dogs apart from registered assistance dogs.
Train-based walk

Ascent: 400 metres
Transport to Walk Start: 10.21 train from Manchester Victoria station (final destination Leeds).
Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers at Victoria Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train or at Todmorden Station.
Suggested Ticket: Off Peak Day Return to Todmorden £10.70
Waypoints: Rake End, Gaddings Dam, Warland Reservoir, Withens Gate, Stoodley Pike, Mankinholes, Lumbutts, Rochdale Canal.
Walk Start: Todmorden Station at 10.50
Return Services: x:03, x:21, x:37 & x:56 and then similar minutes past the hour until 22:03, then 22:16, 22:38, 22:56, 23:03, 23:36, 23:55.
Extra: No toilets at walk start or en route. You are very welcome to join us for post-walk drinks.
