We are the Stockport Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A moderate circular 5 mile walk starting from down the road just past The Ship Inn. There will be an optional lunch at The Ship Inn after the walk.
From the start point grid reference we head for Styal Cross, turning left we follow the North Cheshire Way to The Carrs Country park, through Park turning right at bridge to Pownall Park. From here we head towards The Rugby ground, circling around to the N Ches Way turning left before bearing left towards Quarry Bank Mill. At the top of the road we turn left and head back to Styal Cross and back to starting Point.
Start Place. Road side parking. (DO NOT PARK in the Ship Inn Car Park, a camera system is in operation whereby you have to log your car registration in the pub itself and as they do not open until 11am we are unable to log in.)
