An summer evening walk from Thixendale

A 6 mile circular walk starting at 7pm from Thixendale Church. We leave Thixendale on the Yorkshire Wolds Way, with a steep ascent up Beamer Hill, a steep descent into Vessey Pasture Dale and a steep climb up Vessey Hill. Walking in an easterly direction on top of the Wolds, , we take a footpath along Raisthorpe Wold and into Water Dale and back to Thixendale. Whilst there are steep ascents and descents on this walk, the views of the attractive rolling countryside are well worth the effort.
