Overview

Meet and park at Greenway Bank Country Park Visitor Centre. The car park can get full quite quickly so please arrive a little earlier than usual.

Walking to Gawton's Well and then the Wicken Stones for a break with fine views towards Mow Cop and the surrounding area. We follow the outskirts of Biddulph and Knypersley reservoir back to the cars.

It can be muddy in places and walking poles are recommended. It is not a difficult route for regular walkers but there are several stiles.
