Overview

5.5 miles at a moderate pace. Route: Colne Valley Trail and a variety of waterways and large lakes on the London Loop. This is the bluest section of the Loop and very attractive. We pass under the spectacular new viaduct on the HS2 route along with many other bridges both old and not so old. Difficulty: almost flat throughout but with some steeper bridges to cross. Expect some muddier parts. Lunch: bring food for a picnic in a suitable park, but at the end of the walk there is a pub. Drop out point: at South Harefield.
