Overview

Approximately half of this delightful walk is along the Thames, and features the very attractive Northmoor Lock. From the small village of Northmoor we’ll head east and then south to take us to the Thames. Shortly afterwards we’ll get to the lock, where we’ll tarry awhile to appreciate it. After enjoying the river walk we’ll leave the Thames Path at The Rose Revived pub to head back to Northmoor through pasture. Park considerately along the road through Northmoor unless you will be going to the Red Lion for lunch, in which case you can use the pub car park. The Red Lion is a favourite of ours. In order to minimise waiting time when we arrive in the pub after the walk we’ll make our choices before we set off, giving the chef a head start. Vale Walk Leader DC 01367 820683 / 07544 979253
