Overview

We leave Wantage to Letcombe Regis, through the Nature Reserve towards Letcombe Basset. Then a gradual climb up Smiths Hill to the Ridgeway for views of the Vale and a coffee break. Turning East, we will walk along to Segsbury Castle, where hopefully the spring flowers will be looking good and we may choose to walk round the ramparts. Finally back down Warborough Road and into Wantage. Pay and Display parking is available at The Beacon, which is a short walk from the Market Square and bus stops. Wantage offers a variety of shops, pubs and coffee shops /cafes. Vale Walk Leader PM 01235 868216 / 07975 670553
