This is a pleasant shorter walk with only one or two moderate undulations.
We will start from the car park and pick up the track around the bank of the resevoir, which we follow to the river which we cross via a bridge. We walk on through woodland on the opposite side, eventually coming to a style. Here we cross into a field and follow the footpath along the field boundary/woodland edge crossing one or two more styles. We do get to a high point along the way, where there are good views across the Washburn valley. We continue to make our way down to the opposite bank of the reservoir which we then follow back to our starting point.
Can be muddy and boggy in places when crossing the fields, otherwise the tracks are gravel type and easy to walk along. When I did the recce there were a few fallen trees across the track which may still be there in January but I managed to get over them quite easily.
