This is probably my favourite walk on the Island now that the Devil’s Chimney and the undercliff are not possible. Plenty of ups and downs but well separated so it’s not a slog, some adventure in the scaling and de-scaling of the cliffs and a wide variety of terrain: rocky coastline, cliff-top and ridge walking, plus a waterfall. Also lighthouses, Manor Houses, a railway station and a monument. Weather permitting, from Blackgang Viewpoint car park we'll trek down to St Catherine’s lighthouse, along part of the broken St Lawrence road, up onto Stenbury Down (hopefully with views to accompany our picnic lunch), on through Whitewell and Wycombe before returning via the Hoy and Pepperpot. If the weather is kind it should be a fairly strenuous but very rewarding walk!

New walkers welcome. If you are new to the Ramblers you can just turn up for any of our walks, unless we specify otherwise. We invite you to come along for three walks as a non-member.
Additional Notes

If you need to leave the walking group, please ensure you inform the leader or back marker.
Please note that there may be short sections of road walking, so please walk in a single file and take good care.
Wise to look at the website on the day just in case of any changes or additional info. And in the event of extreme weather please check back for cancellation notices.
