A pleasant clockwise circular walk going through the villages of High Kilburn, Olstead and Wass. Along the way we will visit Scotch Corner [John Bunting war memorial chapel] and Mount Snever Observatory, before passing Byland Abbey towards the end of the walk.
Walking will mainly be on field edge and cross field paths, some farm tracks with a brief road section towards the end.
Some stiles and two steep ascents where poles could be helpful certainly in wet conditions.
Public toilets at Coxwold 1.25 miles SW of start point point.
