We are the Gloucestershire Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is one of our ad hoc Thursday evening social walks this year. These are short evening circular walks starting from pubs where we will normally have a drink and / or a meal at the end of the walk.
Meet at 18.15pm for a 18:30pm start in the free Stamages Lane Car Park in Painswick GL6 6UZ. The walk climbs 300 feet up into the Cotswolds before returning to the car park. We will then walk to the Oak pub, St Mary's St, Painswick, Stroud GL6 6QG for drinks and / or food.
After the rain we’ve had in recent days, the route may be muddy in places so walking boots are recommended.
This walk is arranged by ramblers and free to join. After 2 or 3 walks we request you become a member of the ramblers.
Do ensure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Walking boots are recommended. Bring poles if you think you'll need them.
We're encouraging people to book onto this walk via our meetup site. This helps walk leaders to know how many people to expect on the day.
