Overview

This is a walk across heathland and tracks with some quiet roads. Short inclines, no stiles.

It marks 90 years since T E Lawrence was killed in May 1935. whilst riding his Brough Superior SS100 motorbike and we will pass the stone marking the place.

We will cross the footbridge into Moreton over the River Frome. At this spot, Gwyneth Paltrow got stuck when trying to cross the ford in her pony and trap whilst playing "Emma".

We can also visit Laurence's grave and Moreton church with its beautiful Laurence Whistler windows.

There may be some deviation from the planned route if Forestry England have not replaced rotten duck boards by the time of the walk.
