We are the North Dorset Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk begins in Sherborne and using the Trent pathway heads towards Stallen and onto Over Compton passing Compton House and Compton House chapel.
The next village is Nether Compton where there may be time to look in at the local Church. It meanders towards Trent and on through this pleasant village. Using a section of the Monarch’s Way, the walk passes onto Charlock’s Hill where the walk diverges onto Coombe Farm and back to the starting point.
The walk traverses rolling countryside comprising woodland, farmland and tracks. There are modest ascents and descents with a few styles.
