Overview

The walk consists of a mixture of fields and woods.  While walking in Wentwood forest we will get a glimpse of the Usk Valley.  There are, weather permitting, good views over the Seven estuary.

There are a lot of stiles (some difficult), trees and paths though woods.  The total climb is just over 400 meters with nothing very steep.  When the walk was reconnoitred on the 26th, following rain, some of the paths were very muddy and gaiters are recommended.  While dogs are welcome none of the stiles have dog gates and some of the fields contain horses.
