Overview

Among the many things they did around here all those years ago was to build a Tile Works on Ashtead Common, the site of which we'll visit on this walk. Our easy route will also include farmlands, ancient woodlands and some extensive earthworks of uncertain origin. The Common is both a Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, so there should be plenty of natural delights to enjoy as well. Some gentle slopes and just two stiles.
