Overview

Starting from the Sports Ground car park in Buckshaw Village we cross the Cuerden Valley to Back Lane before crossing the A6 and descending into the Carr Brook Valley. After joining the old Lancaster Canal we pass the collapsed tunnel before passing under the old canal using the tunnel beside the River Lostock. We then return along the path of Carwood Lane descending to St John's Church and the Cricket Ground. Finally paths take us up passed Lisieux Hall to return to Buckshaw Village.
