We will walk South from Fairwarp quickly joining the Weald way through woodlands and fields to Five Ash Down and Buxted Park which we will walk through before touching on Buxted itself and turning North on less well travelled footpaths toward Norden Green and High Hurstwood where we will stop for our picnic lunch on the Green and take refreshment at the eponymous pub, if wished.
After lunch we will join the Vanguard Way up to Camp Hill in the open Heathland of the Forest with its panoramic views before starting our descent back to Fairwarp enjoying the long views and passing the Airman's Grave.
The walk is moderate without steep climbs but the pace will be brisk and there will be sections which are muddy making the going a bit harder.

Please bring any snacks required and a picnic lunch, as well as water.
Park considerately on the main street close to the recreation ground which will be the starting point for the walk. Parking is limited so please car share if possible. Call the leader for possible lifts.
