Overview

This walk takes in the picturesque 'island' villages of the Fens, Witcham and Wardy Hill, goes along ancient causeways, drove roads and beside the New Bedford Level or Hundred Foot Drain.  We will pass the sites of an Iron Age Hill Fort, Burnt Hill where it is possible witches were burnt, and a Roman Helmet was found (now in the British Museum).
