The walk will take in the pleasant village of Tollesbury, where we will walk to Tollesbury Wick and finish at their Marina. Good views across the River Blackwater and the route is part of Maldon's Salt Marsh trial and the English Coastal Path.
Walk is mainly on seawall pathways, so walking shoes / boots are recommended. Parts of the walk could be slightly overgrown, so walking trousers are recommended.
There will be a lunch stop, so please bring a packed lunch. There will also be the option of a pub stop at the end.
Parking – there is some parking available at the meeting point – Woodrolfe Amenity Area. If parking is not available there, it’s recommended that you seek alternative parking on the nearby Crescent Road and the roads off them.
Toilets - there are toilets at the start at the walk at the Woodrolfe Amenity Area.
The group walk at a steady pace of 2.5 miles an hour, and there is requirement of all walkers to respect the general pace.
Numbers are strictly limited and places need to be prebooked with the walk leader.
