We are the Winchester Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

This is a lovely gentle circular walk mainly flat with one incline. There are no stiles. It includes some pretty views across the Fritham plain. There will be a short stop at Holly Hatch where there is a delightful waterfall, a chance to cross a small wooden bridge and an opportunity to visit a small pond where the water is believed to give those who drink it a long life…. There is some interesting local history including earth works. It ends with the opportunity for lunch at the renowned Royal Oak Pub.
The pub and facilities will be open from 10.00 and will take lunch orders and payment for food before we set off. There is a choice of eleven types of ploughman's style lunches at £14. Payment in cash is preferred because the WiFi is sometimes very slow.
