7-10 miles Watership Down

You are welcome to join me for a 10 mile circular walk, climbing up onto Watership Down, where there are spectacular views over surrounding countryside. Walking on across the Downs and descending down into Kingsclere. On along the Brenda Parker Way around to the Ecchinswell Road. Along the Eccinswell road for a short distance and then climbing up to Nuthanger Farm, with more lovely views. Descending to Watership Farm and across to Wergs Farm and back to the car park. Moderate ascents, with steeper descent from the Downs to Kingsclere. Clearly marked paths and tracks, no stiles and moderate pace. Poles not essential, but useful for descent. Comfort stops, morning coffee stop and please bring a picnic lunch. Total ascent 112.8m/370ft. Start time: 10.00 Finish time: 15.00 Meeting point: Beacon Hill Car Park Leave A34 northbound at junction for Highclere and Old Burghclere.
