(Grading / distance now confirmed)
The walk begins in the beautiful village of Otford and starts with a long climb up to the North Downs Way. We then proceed along the Way passing through lovely countryside and catching sight of an occasional rabbit. Then on through nature reserves such as Trottiscliffe Country Park with its protected flowers. The scenery is stunning. The route will partly follow the historic Pilgrims' Way, which led pilgrims to Canterbury. We finish in the beautiful historic town of Rochester.
There will be a lunch break at Trottiscliffe Country Park, where there is a cafe serving sandwiches and tea, but a packed lunch is suggested nonetheless. We will be stopping at a pub in Rochester at the end of the walk.
