Overview

This circular walk will start from Pishiobury Park south of Sawbridgeworth. We'll walk through the park to meet the River Stort and will follow the river for a while. We'll then leave the river and pass the Gibbert Sculpture Garden heading towards our half way stop at a cafe. Circling back via the pretty village of Newgate Street and Old Harlow we will again meet the river and then re-enter Pishiobury Park.

The walk is largely easy going, but there a couple of narrow and potentially muddy stretches. In particular, there is a short stretch by the river near the end of the walk at Harlow Mill that is rather narrow and can be slippery when wet, so Ramblers need to be steady on their feet. [This can be avoided by walking back to the car park along the A1184.]
