This is a circular walk through some very pleasant countryside passing the Amersham Martyrs Memorial, then eventually picking up the South Bucks Way that takes us to Chalfont St Giles where we will have our lunch break. After lunch we pass through one farm yard and across fields and woodland and eventually reaching Old Amersham town.
There is a drop of point at the lunch stop with a bus back to Uxbridge tube station at 15 minutes past the hour at 1:15 & 2:15.
Lunch: at Chalfont St Giles where is a wide choice of cafes and pubs plus toilet facilities.
Train: Chiltern line leaving Marylebone Station at 09:56 arriving at Amersham at 10:32; or Metropolitan line from Baker Street leaving 09:30 arriving at Amersham 10:27. Freedom pass holders are covered to Amersham on Metropolitan and the Chiltern lines.
