This is an opportunity to explore some of artworks dotted around the City of London. They are a bunch of completely free-to-view creations all in the City.
We start with a new Polka Dot sculpture outside the New Elizabeth Line entrance at Liverpool Street and then move through the ever changing Broadgate development to Exchange Square, a pocket park above Liverpool Street station.
Then into the financial district for this year's Sculpture in the City trail. 2024/25 sees the thirteenth incarnation of this popular attraction, displaying 19 artworks by 15 artists ranging considerably in scale – from large steel- or neon-works to small bronze plaques, thoughtfully placed between iconic architectural landmarks such as the Gherkin (30 St. Mary Axe), the Walkie-Talkie (20 Fenchurch Street), the Lloyd’s-Building (aka the Inside-Out Building, at 12 Leadenhall Street), the Scalpel (Lime Street) and the Cheesegrater (the Leadenhall Building). We finish at Leadenhall Market in time for lunch.
Meet: Liverpool Street Mainline Station, Liverpool Street Exit, Street Level, by the Kindertransport Memorial in front of McDonalds.
Travel: Liverpool Street station is served by Central, Circle, Elizabeth, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan Lines, Overground and National Rail.
