A level walk across to RSPB Langford Nature Reserve then using the recently restored floating barrels bridge to cross the lake to the Trent. Walking along the Trent to Besthorpe Nature Reserve, with a coffee stop in the viewing hide (remember your binoculars). Then returning along Northcroft Lane to Collingham. Excellent views across the Trent and various Quarry lakes. Two stiles, mainly good quality paths and Lanes. Toilets near start and finish only (in Memorial Hall).
Please note that this is one of three walks on this day before the Notts Area AGM. There will also be a longer walk starting at 10 and a shorter one from 11. Lunch may be taken in the Memorial Hall in Collingham at the end of the walks.
You do not need to register for these walks in advance.
The walk will start from the CO-OP car park where there is a lot of free parking. The AGM will take place in the Memorial Hall.
