A varied and picturesque low level route commencing on lanes and then paths by the banks of the River Usk. We go through a delightful part of Govilon village to reach the canal towpath from which a short gentle climb gets us to the course of the old railway. The walk is completed across fields of Pentre and Ty Gwyn Farms and a footbridge over the A465 leading back to the canal towpath.

Parking on Church Road, Gilwern, adjacent to the Canal bridge. Take the A4077 Gilwern /Crickhowell road & turn up Church Road opposite Corn Exchange Pub
