Overview

From the car park we have a short steep ascent on the minor road until we take a stony path to the left and contour round to the west with lovely views to the north side of Bryn Arw and the Sugar loaf. We eventually turn north and go down to the river by the tabernacle before ascending on a minor road and then a good path up to Garn Wen. From there we will start the return via  the ridge with views over the Llanthony valley and Comyoy, passing the revenge stone and up to Twyn Gaer before a steepish descent back down to the car park.

Generally good paths, some stony, others lovely grass paths; there is some mud but not extensive. Varied views throughout the walk, weather depending.
