Walk will start from parking area near to the Bridgewater Monument on the NT Ashridge Estate. Parking is free Please allow adequate time for Saturday traffic and walking from alternative parking as it will be busy if the weather is good.
Our route descends steeply to the pretty Aldbury village and there is a gentle climb up to the Ridgeway avoiding golf course. There are majestic views of Aylesbury Plain with a mix of woodland and open land on good tracks along the way. No stiles and two fairly easy climbs. Boots are recommended as there are several sections of uneven paths.
A well behaved dog on a short lead is welcome - please contact walk leader before attending.
There will be a short break approximately halfway through the walk. Bring your own refreshments and snack, if needed.
There is a café and NT shop near the parking area.
Meet by Car Park closest to Monument and NT Cafe. Walk starts promptly at 1.30 pm. Don't trust post code. Entrance to NT estate is off Northchurch to Ringshall Road.
