Overview

A lovely coastal walk taking in both beach and countryside. High tide is 08:33 and low tide 14:55 so the walk will start out along the sand dunes and the beach below Bamburgh Castle, then up to the cliff path to Budle Bay, which is flocked by seabirds when the tide is out. From there along county roads and field paths with views across to the castle.  There are a number of stiles to negotiate.

For car share to Bamburgh, meet Leaderfoot viaduct layby leaving at 9.00am prompt – NT576345.

Alternatively, meet at Bamburgh for walk start circa 10:30am at the Links car park, to the south side of Bamburgh – NU192345 .  There is a parking charge of £10 for over 5 hours.

At registration please advise if you will be meeting at Leaderfoot or at Bamburgh and provide a contact number.  Suggest a £4 contribution to the driver for fuel plus share of the parking charge.
