This is a strenuous circular walk mostly on tracks or paths but with some steep climbs. Leaving Melrose, the walk ascends Goat's Brae before dropping down into the outskirts of Earlston. There we cross the Leader and head to Black Hill via the Jubilee Path. If weather conditions allow, we will have lunch on the top of Black Hill before dropping down into Redpath and on to Leaderfoot. We will follow grass tracks back to the start point in Melrose.
3 stops.
Circular walk, grade B+, strenuous. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.
