This superb circular walk climbs some 370 metres up through the beautifully wooded Birnam Hill, offering magnificent views across the settlements below before reaching King’s Seat summit
Around the route's southern end, a short detour leads to Stair Bridge – a folly with a breath-taking view towards Perth. If you're lucky, you may spot a black grouse.
Mainly forest and open moorland paths, with a few steep rocky inclines, some muddy and boggy open areas.
Sturdy footwear and walking poles advised. Gaitors recommended.

The walk will start and finish at Birnam Arts Centre where a cup of tea and a scone are always a welcome end to the hike. There is no charge to view current exhibitions in the Gallery or the Beatrix Potter Garden outside.
