This is a walk with stunning views in the hills near Duns. We start at Snuffy Hole car park (NT741540) a couple of miles up the road from Duns to Longformacus. The high starting point means we are quickly onto moorland and over the summits of Harden's Hill and Black Hill, all of which offer spectacular long views.
We pass through fields and use grassy paths to descend into the Mill Burn valley, climbing gently from Kidshielhaugh to skirt Plendernethy Hill. We bypass Young Jeanie's Wood and follow easy forestry paths along Langton Edge back to the start.
Hillwalking gear required. There will be a lunch stop and drinks stops as required. The cafes in Duns town centre provide very good coffee and cake.
Circular walk, grade B, moderate. Hiking boots and poles are recommended.
