Visit the Burn O’Vat with optional detour through the stream bed to the impressive pothole in the granite known as the Vat. Then walk on marked paths and forestry tracks to Cambus O’May forest fording or jumping across the small Vat Burn. Then on smaller paths to the Culsten Burn, which we cross on stepping stones and down the valley to Tullich kirk. Visit the Pictish stones display. Return via the Deeside Way and Cambus O’May forest with optional detour to the Farquharson obelisk on Monaltrie.
This walk may have to be modified depending on progress of clearing fallen trees.

Warm and waterproof clothing and stout footwear essential. After the walk we might visit the Cambus O'May Cheese & Milk Hoose Café for refreshments.
Parking – at the Burn O’Vat Visitor Centre, Muir of Dinnet. No charge.
Toilets – located 100 yards beyond the Visitor Centre.
