We are the Northallerton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting from Byland Abbey this walk goes steadily north uphill for 3 km before reaching a short section of the A170. The route then goes generally downhill SW towards Cam House and down Great Cockerdale towards Oldstead Grange and ultimately through the fields back to Byland. A good walk for the winter. Short but with a considerable amount of hill and generally on good tracks and field paths and with some good views. A few stiles. A chance to walk an area that is not often on offer.
