A walk up the lava flows forming the north side of the Gargunnock Hills to a trig. point and cairn providing extensive views across the river Forth and to the hills beyond.
A gradual ascent up vehicle tracks onto the massive escarpment of Carleatheran, then along grassy tracks and open hillside to the summit. Extensive views of Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, the Ochils and the River Forth. Returning by the outward route.
