A local, linear, walk across Auchenreoch Muir to a remote West Dunbartonshire cairn.

Leaving the station via the car park we head to a well marked path beyond the waterworks which leads us to the open hillside. Follow Auchenreoch Glen to Knockshanoch and then onto the cairn at the Hill of Standing Stones. Head west to Pappert Hill before descending to Alexandria Railway Station to catch train for return to Dumbarton East.

Local Grade: C+

Terrain: Public roads, paths and open hillside - some quite hummocky. Gaiters and walking poles recommended.

Max height: 270 m.
