A steady climb to a prominent and popular hill to the south of Glasgow, the site of a neolithic hill fort. We return over a less frequented top.

A singularly prominent hill, Tinto offers fine views over the Clyde Valley and, on a clear day, northwards into the Trossachs and south as far as the borders.

Terrain:  Broad track to rocky summit, and then grassy track and road for direct return or grassy track and some open hillside for optional cross-country return.
