Overview

A leisurely 4½ mile walk around the Cawood parish boundary, the route is known as the Wolsey Walk, named after Cardinal Wolsey who was arrested in the village some 500 years ago.

🏰 In other historical notes, Cawood Castle has the unofficial record for the largest feast in Europe, and Cawood has been used as a film set featuring it's famous wall and links to the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty.
