Overview

A walk along the Chess Valley starting high up in Sarratt. We descend to cross the river at Chenies before heading up hill to Chenies Manor and Church. There is one more final descent and ascent again before returning to Sarratt. Optional drink/lunch in the Cock Inn at the end of the walk. Bring a drink and snack.

Meet in the Cock Inn car park, opposite Holy Cross Church, Church Road, Sarratt, Nr Rickmansworth. NB North Hill leading to Church Road from the A404 Chenies Road is a narrow single carriage lane in places.
