Advance booking is not required, but if you plan on attending this walk, please indicate this on Meetup if you can (see Website link), so others can see that there will be plenty of people going.
Pace: gentle.
Walk details
We start our walk from Cholsey station heading north to Winterbrook and Wallingford. Heading along the old heritage railway line we briefly detour to St Mary's church, where Agatha Christie and her husband Max Mallowan are buried, before re-joining the railway line to Winterbrook – Winterbrook House was home to Christie and Mallowan until Christie's death in 1976. From Winterbrook we walk through Wallingford to the castle grounds where we will stop for lunch. After lunch we join the Thames path back to Cholsey.
