Overview

Today’s evening circular walk takes us up Lardon Chase as well as the adjacent woods. Starting at Goring & Streatley station, we’ll walk though Goring before crossing over the River Thames into Streatley before heading towards Streatley Hill. We’ll then right onto the side road towards Lardon Chase, which we’ll walk up before turning left towards the car park. Once there, we’ll walk through it towards the road to cross over onto another footpath and walk through the woods, and at the end of it, we’ll walk down the hill and follow the footpath almost to the road, at which point to turn left onto a footpath that takes you parallel to it. After walking along this road, we’ll then turn right onto the footpath to take you past some houses and onto a dirt road to take us back into Streatley. We’ll then walk back the same way back to the station, and if time allows, we’ll be stopping off at The Miller of Mansfield pub for those who want a pint.
