Overview

Today’s walk is an adaptation of an earlier walk that I led back in August 2024, of which the details of it can be found here.

Today’s circular walk will take us around the lake at Virginia Water, where we’ll walk along Christchurch Road towards the namesake lake. We’ll then walk through the car park before doing a clockwise loop of it to head towards The Cascade as well as the Roman ruins of Leptis Magna, and along the way, we’ll have several opportunities to get refreshments and lunch along the way. After passing the Totem Pole, we’ll turn away from the lake to head back towards the station to finish the walk. For those want a pint at the end of the walk, we’ll be stopping off at The Rose & Crown, which is a 10/15-minute walk from the station.
