Covenanters Grave and Cairns walk

The Covenanters Grave and Ancient Cairns Walk is an attractive historic walk on tracks and rough paths in the Southern Pentland Hills. We start at West Linton and pass an ancient burial site then on good tracks past West Water Reservoir over Slipperfield on old tracks and drove roads to Medwyn Water and on to Black Law then up on rough moorland tracks to the Famous Covenanters Grave. Good views all round.  We return by the old drove road under Mendick Law, passing a large ancient prehistoric Cairn field with two prominent cairns still standing. No steep climbs but some muddy bits. If clear super views to the Border Hills.
