Overview

We will take the Daffodil Line bus from Cantilupe Road, Ross-on-Wye to Gorsley before walking up to the aged yew tree in the churchyard on Linton Ridge.  The onward walk is via the lakes to Weston under Penyard.

Walkers can then choose to either take the Stagecoach bus back to Ross-on-Wye or eat lunch in Weston churchyard and return over Penyard Hill.

There are a multitude of potential viewpoints.

Bring money or a bus pass for the bus. The morning walk is around 5 miles. Those walking all day should bring a packed lunch. Please ask the leader about dogs.

The 33 bus from Weston leaves at 12.31 or 13.31. Refreshments can be purchased at the Weston Cross Inn whilst waiting.
