A picturesque and surprisingly quiet riverside walk passing by many places of historical interest in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site: Nutwood nature reserve; Darley Abbey Mills; newly constructed fish leap; the Evans’ family early industrial village; The Abbey pub-a remnant of the important Medieval Darly Abbey; Littlechester Roman and medieval site; Handyside’s Great Northern Railway bridge of 1878.
